2021 Recap

I found a recap of the year 20221 that I thought I would share. It came from the Tuttle Twins.

January- Joe Biden inaugurated as the oldest President in history. Kamala Harris becomes the first female V.P. In the next 100 days, the Biden White House enacts 60 executive orders, laws pass without the consent of voters or legislators.

February- Record breaking winter storms hits Texas. Residents lose power across the state due to issues with the government grid. The state's office of energy management is criticized for cutting off people's power and heat during freezing temps.

March- The federal government starts promoting "vaccine passports" as a way to get life back to normal. Many raise concerns that these passports could open the door for a "social credit system" while taking away liberties and privacy.

April- Biden's "American Rescue Plan" takes effect, which costs taxpayers $1.9 trillion dollars. The treasury prints more fiat money to compensate.

May- The US senate approves a $10 billion bailout for Blue Origin, a space company owned by Jeff Bezos, the 3rd richest man on earth.  The CDC reverses a policy claiming vaccinated people still need to wear a mask to prevent infection.

June- The Media and Dr. Fauci start warning of a highly contagious "Delta Variant". Lockdowns and mask mandates are reenacted in many cities and states even though the mutation of covid 19 is proven to be far less deadly than the initial strain.

July- Protests break out in Cuba as citizens demand increased freedom and an end to the ruling communist regime. Journalists are kidnapped by police, and Cuba internet is shut down to prevent communication between protestors.

August- American armed forces withdrew from Afghanistan, which we've occupied for 20 years. A terrorist group called Taliban takes over. Thousands of American allies are left stranded in an airport and billions of dollars in weapons end up in the Taliban's hands

September- El Salvador becomes the first country to recognize Bitcoin as an official currency. Meanwhile China bans all cryptocurrency. Elon Musk's company SpaceX successfully launches the first all-civilian space endeavor.

October- Massive employee strikes cancel thousands of Southwest Airlines flights. Witnesses claim employees were protesting vaccine mandates, which is not reported by the media. Cargo ships carrying import products from Asia start to pile up in ports due to labor shortages.

November- With inflation at a 30 year high, Americans experience the most expensive Thanksgiving in history. Democratic Virginia elects a Republican Governor, shocking the country. Education plays a key role, with suburban parents demanding accountability in schools.

December- Cargo ships remain piled up in port cities creating a shortage of Christmas gifts such as electronics, toys, and clothing. The USPS blames thousands lost packages, late holiday deliveries on labor problems and covid for the second year in a row.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
