As the week went on I was so bothered that nobody was going to see Titus in the NICU. Ali didn't seem too worried and was enjoying sleeping and resting each day. How rare and fortunate as a new mom to get to catch up on all the sleep after having a new baby. She was happy to get a few minutes with a daily facetime video. Blake was given the ok, but they wanted to wait. Each day I prayed and had to put my mind at ease. All the thoughts of Jayden came pouring back to me. How Mark was the first to give her a bottle just 24 hours after she was born. How we were there every single day holding and feeding. How important it is for babies to have skin on skin contact. It was hard to know the little guy was alone. Somehow the hospital was going to allow Blake and Ali into the hospital earlier than 11 days. Friday night Ali ended up going to the emergency room to get medication for her UTI. Since she had a fever, she had to wait another 24 hours to go visit Titus. On Sunday, Ali and Blake finally drove to Des Moines to see their baby boy. I was so happy to get a facetime with them visiting Titus. He was sleeping soundly in daddy's arms. Technology is pretty amazing. We were in the truck driving home from OK and communicating with Ali over facetime seeing Titus live. It warmed my heart to see them together.
