Meeting Titus

On Thursday 12/23 Titus got to finally go home from the hospital. The day before he was discharged, he got his little Christmas Santa stocking photo taken. They turned out so precious! He had his feeding tube in for the photo, so I did a little  photoshop to remove it in the photo. He looks so sweet. What a wonderful Christmas gift.

Bridget and Andrew got to meet him on Christmas morning. What a sweet gift for their entire family!

12/26/21 Sunday after church we drove to Eagle Grove to meet  our new grandson Titus for the first time. He was so precious and tiny. He slept so peacefully and Ali gave him a bottle right at 3 hours, even while he was sound asleep. I was surprised he would take a bottle while being sound asleep. He slept most of the time we were there, opened his eyes up briefly after a diaper change, then drifted back to sleep. He is so cute and makes those sweet little baby noises.  Blake is a proud and protective papa. We were to wear masks while holding Titus and only took them off for photos.

On Wednesday, Jayden, Luke and I went to Ali's for another visit and help organize baby Titus' nursery. I had prepared beef enchiladas for lunch so I could just pop them in the oven when ready to eat. Bridget and Andrew were home for the week so we got to see them too. We had Christmas presents for them, some from our family, some from my parents, and some from the Muench gift exchange. Those kids get so much stuff they don't even know what to do with it all. They got gifts from the Ronald McDonald house, and gifts from the Blank hospital. I think they were overwhelmed that they were opening yet even more gifts today. Luke kept Bridget and Andrew entertained most of the time we were there. Jayden got lots of baby holding and cuddles while I unloaded baskets and bags of baby clothes and items into the dresser and closet. Ali hasn't had a baby shower yet, and the amount of clothes and items she has already gotten is more than she will make use of. After the baby room was organized, she felt relief and I did too. I got some baby holding time in also. Titus is so fun to hold and cuddle while he snoozes. We got there at 10AM and left around 2:30. I only saw a couple little peeks with Titus' eyes open, he sleeps a lot. He has his days and nights mixed up and is more awake at night. He takes his bottles without even waking and can get his clothes and diaper changed and fall right back to sleep instantly. Jake was a sleepy baby like that in his first month too. I took some photos while Titus was in my lap. He is a pretty baby.

Karen and Orrie got to meet their new great grandson around New Year's.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
