While Mark and Jayden were on the OK trip, the boys and I went to Levi Wahlert's second birthday party. Case IH was his birthday theme complete with a red tractor cupcake-cake. Levi was pretty excited, especially when he discovered his battery operated tractor!! I think Dad was just as excited! Levi got lots of fun presents and enjoyed being sung to and blowing out his candle. Still not talking, but making funny jibber jabber. He blabbers all the time and acts like he is really telling you something. They have their hands full with his energy level, he is super busy. He is into everything and climbs. He's already had stitches and a broken arm.
Wade's family had all recently gotten over a flu bug, so Alice did not attend the party. I stopped by her house to visit her for awhile. She is having a harder time and it breaks my heart. Her legs are so swollen she can't get around very well. She no longer drives her car or really goes anywhere. She has had so many visitors,it really wears her out. Alice was very concerned for her horse, Bubba. The last two days he hasnt been eating well. Alice wanted me to check on him before I left. He was not in the barn, he had gone into the arena. I found out he only lived another day and died. Alice's animals are her babies, like children to her. I know it was hard for her to lose her special horse. He was a good one that she had many years with and many memories. He was around 27 years. I know she has been very worried about what will become of her horses when she is gone. I think it was kind of a blessing for her to know that he never had to suffer and she wont worry about what would have become of him when she is gone. I sent flowers to Alice. She had made plans already for Sophie, her palomino mare to go to her friend. She also has Fancy, an older horse that never recovered properly form surgery and is crippled. Alice made arrangements for her three house kitties to go to a shelter run by a friend that will help to adopt them out. Her animals are so important to her and loved.
