Take This World

Things are rapidly changing and it is so sad to watch the country fall. Covid has forced people to be vaccinated and wear masks or lose their jobs. Out on the east cost, mass numbers of nurses are walking off the job refusing the vaccine which means they cannot continue to work in the hospital. Police force members are leaving as well because of the vaccine mandate. Think about a state with limited police and limited medical providers. Now that is something to truly be afraid of. People have left the job force, so many people just don't want to work anymore. Why work when you can get money not to? It has become common to hear, "Bear with us, we are short of staff."
Racial tension brought on by the new group BLM, trying to cause more confrontations and divisions with all kinds of hidden agendas. Much of their focus is on trans gender and trans affirming , trying to get everyone to celebrate something God did not intend for us. If we choose not to celebrate their sinful nature, then somehow we are haters. Abortion rates are higher than ever with all the easy access to abortions. It is painful that taxpayers and employers are funding abortions. It has become as normal and simple as going to have a tattoo. Television shows and movies use profanity like everyday language. There is so much evil, sex, and violence on the screen that nothing is left to the imagination. Social media continues to be liberal backed, one sided, political, and full of propaganda. Schools have little to no authority over children and don't discipline. Teachers, coaches, and leaders tolerate and allow horrible behaviors. Kids get away with so much with little consequences. Poor effort and poor grades are looked past because everyone must pass and move on. College Universities have trained, encouraged, hired and promoted liberal teaching, which is flowing into our schools.  Families have turned Sundays into an extra day for sporting events and many kids will never step foot in a church. Technology has consumed our time and minds. Kids younger and younger are zoning into their phones. They are an escape, and a way to avoid conversations and reality. Covid has given more access to online activity, working from home, attending church and conferences via zoom, leading to less human interaction. Suicide is on the rise and the age of those taking their lives is getting younger.  Pornography and sex trafficking is a huge problem that has to be stopped. Our people have a huge mental illness problem as a result of many of these things mentions. I know there are so many more problems and the list can go on and on. We need Jesus!
It is a scary world we live in. I fear for our kids and grandkids. I put my trust in Jesus and try to instill solid biblical truth and foundation into my kids. I hope and pray that they will pass on these truths to the next generation. We so desperately need to raise up the next generation to know and obey Jesus.
Take this world and give me Jesus.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
