Because of the racial issues BLM has brought into the forefront, society is trying to over compromise. We try to be all inclusive, try not to offend, try to overcompensate. While shopping for Uncle Ben's Rice, I was confused, I didnt know if "Ben's" was an imitation trying to copy Uncle Ben's or if it had been replaced. I then realized in fact Uncle Ben and his photo has been removed from the box. I just don't understand. Somehow Uncle Ben and his photo are offensive to the black community so he has been removed. However, don't they realize that they have just "removed" this colored man because of his color. It seems so very counterintuitive. Aunt Jemima syrup has removed Aunt Jemima, and Land of Lakes butter has removed the Indian woman. I am not allowed to call her an American Indian or a Native American, but an indigenous people. I am sad these have been "cancelled" and removed. I don't even like to buy these brands because of it. They are only hurting themselves in this nonsense. I posted a photo so as not to forget what these faces that graced the labels looked like. I see it as wiping away a cultural figure. There are many others. I guess it is part of what we call "cancel Culture. Below is the latest set of Crayola crayons, so as to include every type of skin color. What next?
