Thanksgiving Family Family.... 10 days out I began cleaning for our Thanksgiving guests, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, curtains, linens, you name it. I learned something during all of this, it is better to wait until two days prior to company and do a mass clean. Most of what I did 10 days out had to be redone 2 days before once again. Frustrating to say the least. The day before Thanksgiving Jayden and I did a little pre-black Friday shopping in hopes of avoiding the shopping craze after Thanksgiving. Later our company arrived at our house at 11PM. Darrel and Lauren and their two cute girls, Quinn age 3, and Reese 22 months. Quinn had been in tears for the last half hour of the drive so she fell right to sleep from exhaustion. Reese on the other hand was full of energy and ready to play. We sat up for another hour and a half visiting while Reese played. She had a rough night and was up crying a lot from 3-4, that pretty much kept us all up. Lauren has her hands full with the two girls. They are so close in age and very busy into everything. Quinn's quiet and shy. Reese is fearless and wild. They are so cute and so entertaining. I had the living room full of Fisher Price Little People toys, some dolls, and a toy shopping cart. They liked the toys, but were into everything else as well, remote control, tupperware, books, just about anything.
While Lauren and Darrel and family headed to Anderliks for Thanksgiving, our family headed to my Uncle David and Aunt Marcia's for the second year in a row. It was beautiful weather. So much so that after a big meal, I took a walk outside while Luke roller bladed. It was nice to be at the Laugerman's. We started the meal with James playing his guitar and we all sang "Amazing Grace" before the prayer. WE had all kinds of food and plenty of it. This years turkey was pre-sliced and tasty. We had an assortment of sides and desserts. My Aunt Rose and Jon were able to come this year and shared with us about their mission trip they took to Taipei over the summer. It was an enjoyable time. We couldn't stay and relax all day, we had a second Thanksgiving to attend. We wanted to be able to catch Mark's relatives at the Anderlik's. We arrived after dark and got to see several family members.
