Jayden's graduation party went well. The party was from 4 until 7 in our shop. Some of the guests showed up early and my serving help showed up late. Ali and Blake were early and very helpful. My mom and Aunt Alice were there to do whatever was needed. It was a bit of panic for the initial setting out of food. After that, it went well. In the end we ran out of meat and cupcakes. The party was well attended! By Jayden's request we had walking tacos made with Doritos chips, mixed fruit, and cupcakes. We also had a few varieties of candies and mints. We had picture boards, awards, and photos galore. Grandma W. had decorated tables to fit the theme, pink and cute centerpieces. She has a knack for decorating and is very creative. She put a ton of time and work into making everything perfect.
There was a steady flow of people that never seemed to end. There wasnt a moment that Jayden, Mark or I were not talking to someone. Guests came through and greeted Jayden, then I visited as they started through the line and Mark caught most people toward the food line. Later we all shared how we never stopped taking. I laughed at Mark at the end of the night when he said"I used up all my words." It was so awesome to see so many friends and family. The hardest part is only getting to visit with them for a few minutes because the next family was waiting. I could have talked for hours with some of the friends I don't get to see often, Mark said the same. It was such a nice time. We had high school , college, rodeo, 4H , church friends, neighbors, and family. We estimated around 200 guests! So many of them we were surprised made it. It went fast and went smoothly. Our family and I am sure a few others didn't get food at the graduation . When Mark and i went home later, we sat down and ate a big salad. That was all that was left, lots of lettuce and cheese! The cousins all went to Torrie and Jake R's fishing pond for some hot dog roasting and fishing. I let all the kids go as long as they wouldn't bother their sister. It is very rare that all the cousins get together anymore so I didn't want them to miss out.
Jadyen had all kinds of cards and gifts. Everyone was so very generous. Some of the fun things, Grandma Wahlert (Mawgee) made a cute poster with a fun saying with candies. Grandma Karen gave Jayden a quilt that Jayden helped her with. Jayden had no idea when she was helping that the quilt was for her.
