6/10/16 I want to underwhelm my schedule
and not be so busy. I am actually going to a bible study called “Crazy busy”. I
just don’t know how to not be so busy. This week is a blur and I have gone to
bed every night at 11 and got up in the mornings around 7. There are not enough
hours in a day. Monday we ran some
errands before swim lessons. Swim lessons are the next 2 weeks in Ames from 5
to 6. Tuesday was morning bible study, afternoon appointment with contractor
about renovating our laundry room area and adding a sun room. We have tossed the idea around for three years. I am ready to get it going and Mark is ready to forget the whole idea. It is so expensive and I get that. We have an elaborate shop and office and horse arena. This is our home
where we live and spend the majority of our time. It just seems our home should be comfortable and the most enjoyable.
In the evening it was swim lessons, which is 3 hours by the time we leave the house and return. Then at 7:30 Jayden gave her first horse riding lessons to a couple little girls and I assisted. Finally around 9PM we were having supper.
Wed. Jayden had a doctor appointment at noon in Ames so we decided to stay in town until swim lessons. Her doctor told her she highly recommends she continue seeing the rheumatology specialist. In the afternoon I took the kids to the water park before swim lessons. It was sunny and 80 and felt good to be in the water. We were all a little tired when we finally got home.
Thursday Cash came bright and early at 7:30 Am to spend the day. The boys played out in the arena in the dirt with trucks, in the basement farming, video games, watched a movie, and played nerf guns. Luke had to get his swim trunks on and yet still wear his boots and keep playing nerf guns until he had to leave for swim lessons. Made for a good picture.
Later after swim lessons, Mark had the trailer loaded and was ready to take the kids to the 4H horse project. I had just enough time to heat up some sandwiches which I sent on the road. It was barrels and poles practice and they got home around 9:30. Luke and I had a quiet evening in.

Friday was a non running day and Mark
and I even went out for supper. The last two Fridays the two of us went out to
dinner in Ogden at the little restaurant, “The Lucky Pig.” For $20 you can get
a prime rib, potato, breadstick and salad. It is pretty good too, you just cant
be in a hurry as the service is generally slow. Sometimes it is good to have to
sit and wait and not worry about the time. After our crazy week it is nice to
focus on one another and have a quiet moment.
