Mark’s parents got started on a diet that has gone well for them. Both Mark’s sisters started it
and now Mark. He wanted me to try it with him as it is far more than just
losing weight. The Yoli rep came to our house and gave me a very thorough
explanation. I later had my friend Theresa N listen in too. She was so excited
about it and thanked me several times. It is a better body system that helps
you to keep your body pH balanced. There are so many benefits to the plan such
as better energy, less inflammation and pain in your body, healthier skin and
happier. The list goes on. You avoid certain foods and have protein days and
alternate with meal days. You cut out anything artificial, sugar, and high in
carbs. You become a label reader and pay attention to what is going into your
body. You drink a protein smoothie every morning and night, which are quite
tasty. They not only curb your appetite, but they are high in protein. You also have fruit drinks with only 2g of sugar that are tasty. One of
them has tea leaf extract so you get your caffeine. 2g of sugar compared to Mountain Dew, Dr. pepper, Chocolate milk having around 50g is huge! I am also reminded how bad the diet sodas and artificial sweeteners are. I was pretty skeptical at
first and did not like the idea. I didn’t mind cutting out the snacks, candy,
chocolate stuff. It was the milk, fruit, and corn chips that killed me. I drink
milk with every meal and then some. I also enjoy eating fruit every day, not
just meal days. I did the plan and was hard core in the beginning. It took me 3
weeks to lose 5 lbs. Mark lost weight right away as do most people. It was
hard, but doable. When we went to Okoboji for a week, we were really challenged.
We ate a lot of salads and steaks. We stuck to the plan with a few fried shrimp
and fish meals. As a whole, whether we stay on the actual plan or not, We are
making serious changes as a whole family. We have cut out pop, sports drinks, and juice for
everyone. We order water at restaurants, something I have been trying to do for
years. The kids drink the fruit drinks on the plan and like them. Luke loves
them!! He went from Gatorade with some 300mg sodium and 40g sugar to the
healthy drinks that have vitamins and antioxidants in them. We quit buying
chocolate and desserts. I am pushing more fresh fruits and veggies. So far it
is going well.
