JMO Television

JMO Inappropriate Television - Growing up I used to enjoy watching music videos. Today I hear country songs and I know the name of the artist, but most times I don’t even know what they look like and it has been a really long time since I have watched any music videos. The other day I turned to a channel of country music videos. The song was something about let her lie. They showed a couple in bed, they showed them in action, they showed them naked in the shower from waist up. I was in shock. I thought I was watching porn. I was in disbelief as to how bad they have gotten, to how much is allowed, how much is ok to show. It was just floored at how this video left so little to the imagination. It disgusts me to know that any child any age can flick on the t.v. and see that. Then there is the local noon news. I think they show and tell way more than we need to hear. Today the instant the news ended, a soap opera started. The first scene was two men face to face with their arms wrapped around one another intimately. Wow, I couldn’t change the channel fast enough. I used to watch a soap opera or two back in high school and college and I can tell you there was not one incidence of homosexuality. I recently saw a game show, “The price is Right” and a man just won 2 tickets to paradise vacation and was asked who he would take. He answered my husband and the man came running and the two of them hugged. I used to watch that show as a kid. I certainly do not want my kids to see that. It is so confusing to children. It makes them question, it makes them confused. It is so wrong on so many levels. I just don’t get it! I don’t think I ever will. Today the media is brain washing people, making it seem so natural and common, well it is not. God did not design us to be with same sex. He intended for man to be with woman from the beginning. We live in such a dark world. Sometimes I think Amish wouldn't be so bad.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
