3/2/23 The plumbing had been done, the concrete poured, and the metal beams up and framed, then it was all piled in a heap of twisted metal on the ground. The house that Jayden and Noah started was destroyed by a tornado. A line of thunderstorms tore through Brown County, arriving in Brownwood right at 5 p.m. Thursday, bringing wind gusts around 60 mph, funnel clouds eye-witnessed by numerous citizens and a handful of instances in which tornado rotation was indicated on radar. With the storms came considerable damage in some areas as the hardest hit appeared to be the Magnolia on 4th Apartments (formerly Southside Apartments) located at the aforementioned intersection in Brownwood. Two tornado warnings were issued Thursday afternoon in Brown County as a line of severe and fast moving thunderstorms ripped through the area. The first warning was issued at 4:44 p.m. when a funnel was sighted near Bangs. At 4:59 p.m. the storm was moving into Brownwood and Early and the second tornado warning went out. Sirens wailed throughout the city notifying citizens of the impending danger.
