THE Wedding Day (Pre-Ceremony)

In the morning by 8, the girls were making muffins. Jayden wanted to fix breakfast at the lodge with all the ladies. She originally wanted to fix pancakes, waffles, eggs, and bacon all herself. I had to talk her into something a little more simple on her wedding day. This was her big day and making breakfast for everyone was too much. She is very thoughtful, always thinking of others and wanting to do something special. They had a variety of muffins and yogurt fruit parfaits. Several of the ladies joined us. Jayden also bought items and made gift baskets for all the bridesmaid, grandma's, and Aunt Lori who helped alter her dress. She goes above and beyond to be thoughtful. I called Mark and told him to come out to experience the ranch. Late morning he came out along with Dan and family. They got a ranger ride around and saw some of the ranch and animals. While the guys rode around, the girls were primping and preparing for the big day. I was not well, but I pushed through and wouldn't let myself feel bad. My head was plugged, my nose would not stop running, and my voice was going. I did not slow down, I did not rest, I did not stop, it would not ruin my day. After breakfast, the bridesmaids helped Ester set up the outdoor wedding décor and several helped set up the ceremony chairs. In the Lodge, we set up a charcuterie board for the wedding party to snack on until the ceremony. Levi and Abigail got to know each other and hung out with the wedding party. The girls did their own make-up and each others, then the hairdressers arrived to do everyone's hair at 1:00 The team of photographers arrived at 3. It was such a neat time and the lodge was absolutely perfect for everyone to get ready in. It made for such a fun environment. The photographers and hairdressers were so professional, we felt like VIP. Jayden had hair extensions added to help her hair hold it's shape and curl. It looked amazing with her turquoise clip. Jayden had the turquoise necklace and jewelry picked before she even had her dress. It all looked lovely together. She looked absolutely beautiful as I knew she would!

The photographers started by taking photos of details, the decorations, dress, flowers, boots, rings etc. first. The ceremony started at 7PM. At 6:00 Jayden was getting her dress on and we had to do first looks and all the wedding party photos yet! The wedding party pictures were being taking at the alter right up to the start of the wedding.

The whole day felt very surreal to me, like I was living in a movie. It didn't seem possible that it was wedding day for my daughter, my Jayden, my little girl. The bridesmaids had several photos taken in their cute silky robes before Jayden was in her dress. The girls moved to an upstairs room while the boys got dressed and ready down below.

Once I was in my dress, we got some sweet mother/daughter shots. Jayden looked so beautiful in her dress. I have such an awesome daughter, God sure blessed us with this sweet girl, radiant beauty inside and out. Next was the father first look. Then it was Noah's first look. They also exchanged personal vows to one another, something their pastor suggested to them. And as her nature is, she got all of us a gift and Noah's parents.

We had  all the family photos taken at the hay feeder made alter. It was just beautiful. I cannot say it enough how amazing the flowers were, all Ester's doing. The wedding party included bridesmaids; cousin Alivia, cousin, Maggie, Maid of honor cousin Jaynie, and Izzie's girlfriend Cynthia. Groomsmen were; Best man brother Izzie, Jake and Luke, friends Tyler and Brady.

As everyone was getting ready for the ceremony and getting ready for grandparents to be walked down, there was a commotion. I don't want to spoilt this post with the negative on Jayden and Noah's wedding day, so I will spare the details. The bridesmaids and myself headed back by the tent to be ready for the ceremony.  I shed a few tears, not for the reasons I thought I would, and Jake was nearby and gave me a big reassuring hug. My dad also found me and gave me a hug. As we began to line up, I could see Mark and his face showed it all. Once everyone was resettled, it was time for the ceremony. Jayden had doors that the Marquez family made, painted and decorated for the moment Jayden would walk down the aisle. It was perfect!

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
