Saturday Jayden and I went shopping all day in Des moines. We left in the morning and spent the day shopping. we didn't have a list or things we were needing, so with less pressure, we had fun and found some cute things. Jayden and I had such a fun time, we laughed at each other and silly things. We are so much alike sometimes its just like shopping with my best friend, she is my best friend. i am going to miss her so very much when she goes off to college. I cherish these times together!
On our way home, we met the Buhrs, Mark, and Luke at a restaurant in Luther.
Mark took Luke to his first 4H rifle discipline class in Fort Dodge. He learned gun safety and got to shoot in a shooting range. He had a great time. Sadly, the 4H program has to keep things pretty quiet because of all the pressure on gun control.
Sunday I took Jake and Luke to connection group while Jayden and Mark rode horses. I really enjoy the connection group time and tonight we had some pretty good discussions about our kids and relationships, dating, and friendships. There is a lot going on that we can all relate and help each other through. We didn't go over the discussion questions or talk about the sermon, but sometimes you just need to share what is going on in your lives. The boys had a blast. Jake took our ipad and some props and made a video. Later he spent hours editing and adding sound effects. I think we may have discovered a new passion for Jake. He is hooked. Monday the sun came out and the forecast was dry and sunny for the week! Mark got in the field and got to combining beans. In the evening Frankie came and worked with Jayden and her barrel horses, Joker the 4 year old who is started and not been pushed yet, and the new gray horse that is a ball of fire and just wants to run run run. They are quite opposites. Frankie was impressed with Jayden and told her she has done a really good job with Joker. That is a big compliment when Jayden is the one that has done 100% of the work with him. Tuesday and Wednesday harvest was in full swing, the sun was out. Tuesday Mark got the semi stuck. The ground in the field is still a little soft and a full loud sinks in.
