Drew and Kallie Mae Wedding

4/15/17 Kallie Mae Burn’s wedding was Friday April 14th . It has been the hot topic among the relatives for the past 6+ months. The planning, the details, the everything.
Jayden and I took a whole day to go dress shopping on a Saturday a couple weeks ago. Neither of us found anything and went home very discouraged. While in Rochester earlier in the week, we found a store with many dress options. Jayden tried on a cute little black dress. She looked amazing in the dress. When I saw her it took my breath away and I realized my baby girl is all grown up. She looked older, mature, and like someone who walked off a model runway with long blonde hair, beautiful eyes and smile, long legs, and perfect little shape. She has it going on. The dress is what I would call fancy, sexy, but classy. It wasn’t too short, or too low cut, but not modest either. I liked it and got Dad’s approval before she could officially wear it. He was pretty speechless when he saw it, looked at me, then to Jayden several times, then gave it the ok. He recommended a big shawl to go with it. Now, to keep the boys away. The shoes she went shopping and picked out all on her own. They were so fun with straps that went around and tied up the ankle. As for me, I will once again wear my teal blue dress that I have always liked. This will be the 3rd wedding I wore it too. I wanted a cute new dress, but settled for what I know will work. Luke was all about wearing a suit and had outgrown his previous one, so he got a new gray one. Jake, I can basically pick out what he wears, he just likes to wear a vest for his look. Mark is the easy one, blue shirt and a tie, same as last wedding. I thought we all coordinated very well and I didn’t plan the colors at all.

Friday we drove down south for the big wedding. The wedding was held in a large barn turned ballroom. The wedding and reception were held in the same barn. It was amazing and the decorating beautiful. It made for a lovely place for a wedding. The weather was great, warm but not hot. The wedding was short and simple all in 30 minutes. Kallie wore a long fitted dress with tool mid calf and down. It was off white with gold bling and accents. The bridesmaids wore long yellow gowns. Libby and Abby Anderlik were among the bridesmaids. The groom, Drew Wilfawn, has a 7 year old daughter Hannah that looked like a little princess and read Corinthians chapter 13. Many relatives were there and it is always fun visiting and seeing everyone. The food for the reception was great and then it was time for the dance. I got to enjoy some baby holding with new baby Reece Alexander, who feel asleep in my arms. An hour into the reception, the beer was flowing and the dancing was getting wild. There were two guys in their late teens/early twenties that could really dance.  They were the kind of dancers that people make a circle around and just watch. They danced every song for the rest of the night with so much energy and sang every word. After awhile, Luke got to dancing with the guys showing off his moves. He became their buddy with high fives and fist bumps. They had the moves Luke was keeping up. He could really bust the moves with his feet and keeping the beat.
The girls got asked to dance several times. One of the groomsmen liked to drag the girls across the dance floor in trying to two step. Jayden, Jaynie, Maggie, and Carly stuck together and had fun. We stayed until midnight when the party ended.
On Saturday morning, we met for breakfast with the families. They ran out of food, so the boys and I headed to the indoor waterpark to enjoy the amenities before heading home.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
