Our last day in Vegas. The forecast back home was a low of 9. Here the sun was shinning and it was going to be in the 60's. It felt so crisp and nice outside it made it so hard to leave . I will not miss the traffic, the big city, the half dressed hoochie mamas, the casino sounds and smells. I will miss the weather, the beautiful buildings, the cobwoy hats, the cowboys, the kind country folks, and of course the big rodeo. It was a fun trip, a special time for Jayden and I, a memory made. I am thankful for the chance to make it out here, thankful that Mark is supportive and sent us on this trip while staying home taking care of the boys and doing chores in the cold for all our many critters. We got up and ready had our hotel buffet, then took a walk to the Venetian hotel across the street. The air was fresh and cool, a light sweatshirt and it was perfect. The Venetian had boats and a feel of Italy. It was so cool inside, like you were in a palace. The ceilings were painted up, the shops were designers, it was so fancy. The shopping felt like you were outside shopping down the streets while you were inside. We only had a brief walk, then it was back to the hotel to catch the airport shuttle. Back to Iowa we go.
Later we saw posts on Facebook from the awards during the NFR. Each of the world finalist went down on the arena floor and were presented their saddle and buckle. They were briefly interviewed. Of the contestants, there were 5 that gave all the glory to God . It was so awesome and encouraging to see them beaming with excitement and thanking God, praising him and saying,"all the glory for this is to Jesus my Lord and Savior."It was an awesome example of rodeo athletes that love Jesus and give him the glory. God bless the rodeo athletes.
