It doesn't feel like Christmas without snow. It has been brown and drab, so I was happy I got my wish to have a white Christmas. We got a few inches of snow a couple days ago and it was expected to melt. I was glad to look out and still see white covering the ground.Everything was white, but as the day went on, the rain came down and wind picked up. It made for a nasty day outside, but nothing that caused bad road conditions. We headed to Williams for the Wahlert Christmas. Aunt Alice was here for Christmas this year too, so that made it extra special. We had lunch and Christmas goodies followed by presents. The day was pretty fast paced with little time to sit, visit and relax. It was go from the start. The presents seemed to keep coming and coming even though this year we were to trade names with one person and give to a charity of our choice. In the end with the pile of gifts, I would have to say there were more gifts than ever. My favorite idea came from my dad, he had taken a bible verse and printed it off for each person to read before opening their gift. As soon as presents were done, everyone was scrambling to get ready for the church program. Luke had gone to my parents church a couple times to practice so he could be part of the Christmas program. He was very excited to read in the play. He and another little girl similar in age read parts from Luke 2. Luke got to stand at the podium with a microphone. He did a great job and was fun to hear. He looked so handsome in his shirt and tie. The Christmas Eve program was put on entirely by the kids with character parts and singing. Alivia was a narrator similar to Luke. After church it was back to Grandma's for soup supper. More eating Christmas goodies, taking pictures, then Grandpa's bible reading of the Christmas story before heading home./>
