12/23/15 We knew there was a chance of
rain today and that is how the first part of the day was, wet and rainy. The
horses lot was starting to be just soft mud and not sloppy wet. Not any more.
As the day went, soon the rain turned into snowflakes that were fairly large
and heavy. Out of nowhere I saw lightning and then heard thunder. We were
getting thunder snow. To make things even more bizarre, parts of the state were
under a tornado watch. Parts of Alabama and several other areas down south did
have tornadoes hit and wipe out homes. Jayden had to work at the grocery store
in Ogden, so I drove her for her 4-6 shift. The roads were a sloshy mess on the
gravel with several inches of heavy wet snow. It was the kind that pulls you
into the ditch. On the way into Ogden, we saw a car that just went into the
ditch, on the way back another. Mark picked her up so I didn’t have to go out
again. Spillman’s ventured out to bring me Michelle’s amazing rye bread. The bread is so yummy and it brings back memories of my Grandma Edna Wahlert's fresh homemade bread she used to make. Michelle is
such a good friend. I was going to have her show me how to bake the bread and do it
together, but we couldn’t get our schedules together. Instead she not only made
me 3 loaves, she also delivered it along with treats and gifts, and on a bad weather day. Now that is a
good friend!
