Left Behind

Luke went to stay the night at Karen and Orrie’s. He took his large tote of mega block legos. He built and built.  Mark and I went out to eat at Red Lobster. Jadyen and Jacob went to Spillmans for the night. They went to see the movie “Left Behind”. I have seen the former movie made years ago. I knew what the movie is about and explained to Jacob so he ould have an idea. He said it was very intense and it made his legs shakey from being so tense. The movie talks about the end times when the rapture takes place and. It is a theory of how it will be based on biblical facts in revelation. The rapture takes place before Christ returns and all the Christ followers on earth ascend into heaven. Those non-believers get left behind. It is a movie that makes you think and it talks about pastor that get left behind. That seemed hard for Jake to understand, but there are pastors that aren't truly Christ following believers. I have read the several Left Behind books in the series and find them very interesting. It is about more than just knowing there is an almighty God. Many assume they are saved and really aren't.
Here is what the authors based their books and movie on.
Three Signs of the End, By Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins
Jesus’ disciples asked Him a classic question 2000 years ago: “What shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?”
That remains one of the most prominent questions to this day. The fact is that the signs of the times are all around us. Many are asking, “How long can it be until the end of history, the end of life as we know it?”
In our book Are We Living in the End Times? we list many of the signs of the times apparent in our generation. We believe that while no one knows the day or the hour when Christ will return, we have more reason to believe He could come in our lifetime than any generation before us.
Many leading politicians look to the potential of a world government as the panacea that would bring global peace. That is why the United Nations was formed, yet even with its 60-year incapability to bring about peace, it remains the dream of many world planners.
World government is only one leg of the prophesied three-legged stool of end times globalism. The other two are a one-world economy and a one-world religion. The worldwide interchange of goods and services today, along with the current economic chaos, seems a clear signal that the prophecies of Revelation 13 and 18 may be coming true.
The one-world religion is beginning to form but will really come together right after the Rapture when Christ calls His church to heaven to be with Him in His Father’s house (John 14:1-3). Even today Christianity is one main impediment to the forming of a global religion, which will (according to Revelation 17) be destroyed at the end of the Tribulation period.
God in His mercy may wait one more day, which in His economy of time is a thousand of our years. But we are instructed to watch and wait for Christ’s imminent return, as if it could be today. Because it could!
We believe every Christian and church should share the Gospel faithfully with as many as possible. Our driving passion is that we don’t want anyone to be left behind

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
