The Bucket Fam

I discovered the Bucket List Family in early spring and fell in love with their sweet family. They are adorable, kind, generous, funny, entertaining, and interesting. I love their stories and they have become youtbue famous. I went back to the beginning and started watching the episodes in order. The old ones are the best, before they were famous and before they had so many sponsors. Their travels were fascinating and it makes me just want to go out and travel the world! If only I enjoyed flying.

"This inspiring traveling family will make you want to go on a trip with your family in the future. They call themselves journalists and storytellers who started their journey in August 2015. Garett and Jessica have raised one of the most beautiful families on the internet and have proved that traveling as a family can be done. They’ve traveled to almost 65 countries with Dorothy, Manilla, and their newest addition Calihan. They’re Adventurous! This family is unique to follow since they don’t fear uncharted waters. Instead, they embrace cultural differences and even travel to places like Tanzania together. Wow! Some families tend to lean to the safer city lifestyle instead of traveling to random places. This family defies boundaries by showing that kids can live freely in nature and experience everything the world has to offer. 2009, Garrett and I initially met during service missions to Vladivostok, Russia. We briefly crossed paths in a small flower shop, but didn’t start dating until years later while attending the same university in Provo, Utah. I was studying Advertising and Garrett was “studying” on the soccer team while building an iPhone app. After we got married, Garrett sold his iPhone app to Snapchat and that brought us to a major decision point in our lives, “WHAT SHOULD WE DO NEXT?” It was a difficult decision to reset our lives and sell everything but we’re grateful everyday that we took that chance and were brave. We’re grateful to each of you for being a part of this journey and we hope you’ll keep with us as our little family and this big adventure continue to grow!"
**Here is an old screenshot of the family goals we set on August 15, 2015. It’s so crazy to think back to where our mindset was at the very beginning. We had no idea what this family adventure would eventually become. “We were going to take the typical next step in life and "grow up" and build a house and settle into careers..buuut how bout not! We're not quite ready for that. We feel like we still have so much to learn about life and happiness before we can set up our future life and home.  That's why we started our family bucket list. We decided as a young family that now was the time to form healthy habits and create traditions that will hopefully shape us into better people the rest of our lives.” After 3 years living full-time on the road and visiting 65 different countries together, we finally found a place to call home. We renovated a little bungalow on the beach in Hawaii. It’s a special place where our family can continue to explore, be healthy, and grow old together ;) This most definitely does NOT mean we will stop traveling, but now our family has a home base where we can be a part of the community, around close friends more often, and be more consistently involved in activities .
4/17/21 I filled it out... I filled out a form stating my plan to invest in The (Bucket List) G Family. I love watching their Youtube channel  and I think they are great people. They are kind, compassionate, giving, serving, adventurous, adorable, and Christians. They are such a neat family and have a great story. If it is a success and profits, I hereby state that I will give 50% after obtaining original amount to several causes. May God use this family and their success for good........Well, I missed the boat. I got an email on June 3rd stating that on June 4th it will be first come to invest. I do not read my emails on a daily basis, and sometimes only weekly. I missed this email by a month. I was so bummed!! I had big plans and really wanted to be part of the investors for their family and all that they do. I am confident that they will be super successful. They have big plans, all of which are awesome. They are going places and it will be big!! I wanted to be part of the team, to see them go big and use my investment for good. Maybe something else will come about...

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
