I sat down to fill out a calendar for the month of February. With an upcoming trip, I wanted to make sure I had the first couple weeks all planned out. When I actually sat down to look at it, I was overwhelemd. The calendar is just mine, not Mark's meetings and appointments or Jayden's. When you see it written down on paper, you are really aware of how much we go and go. Here is how the last few days have gone...
Jan 27-Saturday- An emergency trip to Ames for Jayden's horse Joker, In the evening to Webster City out to eat with Allie and Blake.
Sunday- church in Boone, Kids 4H interviews in Fort Dodge.
Monday- Luke to Ames for taekwondo
Tuesday- ROckwell City to see cousin Jaynie play basketball.
Wednesday- Ames to Luke's taekwondo and Jake to 180 youth group
Thursday- Ames for bible study, Afternoon, Luke had guitar lessons and taekwondo
Each week looked very similar for the months of Jan and Feb and March.
Sundays we went to church and in the evenings we either had connection group at 5 or the kids had a 4H meeting.
Wednesdays were youth group night for Jayden and Jake. Most weeks, they worked at Overflow for an hour or two while Luke was in taekwondo. Two nights a week Luke went to his taekwndo classes. This year he added a weapons class.
Thursday mornings I went to bible study in Ames from 9-11. I really enjoyed my time getting to know a group of mom's in different phases of motherhood. I would then stay in Ames all day, and I mean all day. I left home at 8AM and didn't get back home until 8:30PM. Mark would schedule his chiropractor appointments to bring Luke into Ames for me. I would meet and take him to his 3:00 guitar lesson, then go to my chiropractor, then back to taekwondo classes 5:30-6:30 and 7-7:30. Sometimes I would get groceries during his class, or most times I sat at the little coffee shop to relax reading or typing. In between classes Luke would sit at the coffee shop with me and have a chocolate milk. On Thursday mornings, the kids were to help Grandma Karen or do something with Mark while I was gone. For 8 weeks, we didn't do school on Thursdays.
Friday mornings, the boys had Spanish class for an hour in Ogden. It was right in the middle of the morning, so it kind of messed up school. Once a month at 8:30 on Fridays, Nancy our homeschool supervisor would meet with me. Then it was TGIF!! The weekend had arrived and every weekend was different. Date nights, stay at home nights, or horse riding. I always look forward to the weekends.
