IF one person could feel another person's pain, I often wonder would it feel the same to them? Do we have extremely different pain thresholds? How did people ever endure hundreds of years ago without modern medicine? Are we weak, do we not have much tolerance for pain? Mark, Jayden, and I often complain about our aches and pains. I have had troubles with my back since my last year in college. It has never completely gone away. I have never been without pain, but some days are minimal and some are worse. Certain things can really flare up my discomfort. For the most part I have learned to tolerate it, avoid the things I know will make it worse, and do what I can to help when it gets really uncomfortable. Ice, ibuprofen, essential oils, stretches, chiropractor, etc. do help some. I feel like it will never go away and I will just have to live with it. It hasn't gotten any worse, and I pray it never does.
Jayden started feeling the aches and pains the worst in 2016 after being really sick. She still gets aches and pains and sore. Riding horses 3 days a week, definitely causes her body to be sore a lot. She also is tired a lot. She is much too young to deal with the problems she often has. On top of that, she has been dealing with stomach issues most of her life and recently has been having migraines. The poor kid!
Mark, by far has the most trouble. 5 years ago, he really didn't have any pains or complaints. Then it started with a pain in his back above his hip bone. A constant nagging ache. He had hip surgery December 2014. The pain was still there, he had his second hip surgery in June 2017. The back pain has been significantly better, but still a problem. Then out of nowhere, late summer, his neck began to bother, then during harvest his shoulder. He has been taking ibuprofen morning, noon, and night for several years now. It really worries me. On top of that, he often uses aspercreme, biofreeze, Australian arthritis cream and essential oils. He takes an epson salt bath 4 to 5 nights every week. He does stretches and exercises. He started going to another chiropractor that some friends of ours suggested. His appointments are very frequent and the clinic is in Huxley, almost an hour away. He bought a new recommended donut pillow the beginning of fall for his neck. I absolutely hate it because Mark snores all night long and I have to wear ear plugs every night. Sometimes even the ear plugs are not enough to drown the noise. We even bought a new top of the line bed mattress to help his back. I feel so bad for Mark and it really gets him down. Each thing that he tries gives him a little bit of hope, but little relief. I pray that his pain can decrease and he can feel better soon.
