Mitchell Wedding

Friday 5/27/16, started with the Anderlik/ Mitchell wedding rehearsal. I was asked to be the videographer for the rehearsal and wedding. My little niece Libby is all grown up and getting married. The rehearsal lasted about an hour and went smoothly. Libby’s grandfather Bob Anderlik was officiating the wedding ceremony. After the rehearsal, our family was not part of  the dinner, so I joined Mark and the kids, plus cousin Rylie and cousin Karley for dinner in Paton at 509 main. The kids spent eh afternoon together and rode horses.
Saturday was the big day for the wedding. Our families had to arrive hours early to be in a family photo. It was a hurry up and wait kind of day. I also was the videographer for the wedding. Libby was absolutely beautiful, her dress and flowers were amazing. She had lovely bridesmaid dresses and all the nieces looked so good. There were tons of ferns at the front of the church for decoration, it looked kind of like a jungle. The ceremony was nice and Grandpa Anderlik did a great job. The reception was in Callendar. It was dark and loud with a large crowd. We sat with Allie and her new boyfriend and Darrell, Lauren, and baby Quin. It wasn’t long and Lauren announced they are going to have another baby. Wowza, that was a shocker for everyone and especially to them. It took 7 years and lots of fertility intervention for baby Quin, and this baby happened as a big surprise.
The reception was nice with excellent food and lots of dancing. Luke danced all night long and had his groove on again. That kid can really shake and dance. The later it got, the louder the music. Many of the college kids, were really having a good time. The Burns kids weren't afraid to enjoy themselves with dance moves and some beverages too. Everyone from Abby on up had a boyfriend or girlfriend. There are several very serious couples. I still think of the nieces as little girls, so it is hard for me. I think we will have many weddings in the next few years. We are all taking bets on who will be next, Jossie, Torrie, Abby, or Kallie. It could be any one and it could be any time. It will be interesting. We were one of the last to leave after helping tear down and load the trailers.
Sunday Morning the Anderlik’s had brunch at 11 for all the family. The bride and groom were late as everyone waited for them to arrive for gift opening. In the evening, Lauren and Darrell came and stayed with us. The guys made a store run and bought steaks to grill. Mark likes to grill when we have company. We also watched a movie in. The kids sure have fun with Quin. She is such a sweet happy baby.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
