After the
alarm went off at 6:30 we looked outside to a winter wonderland in May. Crazy
weather!! Never in all my years have I seen snow in May. It wasn't just a little, it was several inches of heavy wet snow. We turned on the
television to see that school was closed. Karen called first thing in the morning and told me how
terrible the roads are. The Anderlik’s have their cows down here at the cow
barn and rely on Karen and Orrie to take care of them. Karen
was out at 6:30AM checking cows. Something about that just isn’t right. The
kids were excited to have a snow day and played all kinds of things in the
house. From 10:30 until 2:30 we were without power. That made things even more
interesting. The kids and I had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and played games of hide-n-seek. The mail carrier was the only one out on the raods. I am not sure why or how she did it. The front of her jeep was thick with slushy snow.
