Travels to Iowa

Jayden not only bumped her flight up an extra day, she also got a first class flight and did it all without paying anything, using frequent flyer points. It was a big day for Colt, his very first time traveling on an airplane. It was also a big day for Jayden flying alone with Colt! I was amazed she would even attempt to travel just the two of them.  Noah drove them to Dallas, a3 hour drive. They thought it might be easier than taking the flight to Abilene and spending extra time at the airport waiting and then getting on the second flight. Jayden allowed 2 hours at the airport and through security, then it was a 2.5hour flight, and an hour car drive here. Jayden timed everything and was fully prepared on her flight. She had Colt in his warp and he slept most of the flight. She said he did great all day. I picked them up and made a stop to grab a bite to eat. Colt got scared of the workers and cried, then as we sat down to eat, he soaked through his clothes and diaper. We didn't r

Prom

Luke attended his first prom as a Sophomore with his Junior girlfriend Abby. They started talking and attending youth group together in February. Her mother like me, limited how often they got to see each other. After a month and a half, Luke officailly asked her to be his girlfriend in person with flowers. He is such a romantic little gentlemen. When they talked in Feburary, they decided on going to prom together within a few days and then got to know each other. I went with Luke to meet her when he had to sign papers to attend her prom. She seemed very cute and giggly. Later we invited her to come to the house to meet us and Mark and I sat out around the fire pit and talked. It was awkward to say the least. Luke saw very little of his new freind other than youth group. Before long it was prom. Luke got measured for his tux and picked it up by himself. On prom night, I was invited by the other moms to come for the piture session. They knew I had a "good camera" eventhough t

Colt at 4 months

April 14 to May 14.Wowza! Colt had his 4 month appointment and he weighed 18lbs. 15 oz. For the sake of that one ounce, I will call it 19lbs. He is a big boy! He didn't stay a little baby long!  I cant imagine poor Jayden's back. He is such a heavy guy. Colt is growing out of everything! He is wearing 9 month sleepers and his feet are reaching the end for length and his round belly is making them tight. Jayden has been putting pants and shorts on that are 12/18 month because of his round, chubby belly. He has rolls, but they are cute rolls and not fat. Colt still isn't a big fan of naps. He doesn't want to miss out and is very active and observant. He is drinking 6/8 ounces at a feeding. He is growing so much and we just love seeing photos and videos. Jayden does such a good job taking great photos!
