She/He

In recent years, more people are claiming an identity name, Trans-gender. I had to look it up in a dictionary. I still don't understand all the letters and the terms and the 52+ genders. We are living in some very strange times indeed. These people don't want to be referred to as he or she, but rather they, them and it. They will actually point out what "pronoun" they would like to be referred to. Sometimes you can't tell the gender, either the person is a boy wanting to be a girl or vice versa.  Over the past year, our pharmacist has been "changing." We pick up our prescriptions monthly and thought she was just a woman that was a little masculine. She was heavy set with short hair. In time, her voice grew deeper and her hair shorter. There was no make-up but glasses and dark shoes. She had a name that could conveniently go either way. Recently the voice became real deep. Then one day I filled my prescription, I noticed she had facial hair, not just a little, but side burns and a lot of chin and throat hair. Wearing a mask, that was all I could see. It reminded me of a boy that grew his first mustache. It all make me very sad for her. How does a person go through such unnatural extremes to change their God given body. Not fitting in, mental illness, abuse, hormone problems, lost, lust? I often wonder why our medical professions wouldn't do more to help them hold on to what they are and suggest medication or hormone therapy for the actual gender the person is. What ever happened to therapy and counseling? These unnatural changes are becoming more accepted and encouraged, even among children! Schools are constantly infiltrating trans material and confusing young children about their own sexual identities. Television shows and toys are suddenly becoming trans promoting.

We are not to judge, we should love all, but we are not supposed to love, promote, condone, and celebrate sin. Is it not wrong to alter, change, reject, and despise the creation God gave us in our flesh and blood as image bearers?  We are fearfully and wonderfully made, we are not a mistake. The gay group kidnapped the rainbow, God's promise to his people. It is a cultural shift that has taken over society. Our culture is shifting farther from morals, values, and biblical truths. It is sad, and it is hard to see, but I know our maker is in control. I just wonder how long this will be at the forefront and what will become of all this in the future. I just don't think it will end well.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
