When Jayden wasnt sure she could go to her best friends house and found out another friend was going there also, the best friend took it personal and thought that Jayden was only coming over to see the other friend. Girls and their drama. So that started the silent treatment. Her mother is my good friend and so it affected our relationship. It came at a time when Jayden was starting her rodeo season off with a bang. Things were going so awesome with Jayden and she wanted to share her excitement and experience with her friend. She continued to get the silent treatment. After feeling the same silent treatment I confronted the mom who is my good friend. We talked about it for a long time and opened up about a lot of things. Both Jayden and I apologized many times. even though it seemed backwards. We talked it over and I knew that time would tell, either things would work out or they would not. The next rodeo Jayden attended in the youth association her friend is part of, was awkward. She could feel her friend avoiding her and ignoring her. At the end of the night they acted a little more normal , at least for the moment. A week later at a rodeo, once again her friend ignored her and gave hugs to the girls standing beside Jayden. I really believe that jealousy has taken over her friend. There really isn't any other way to explain it. There are reasons to be upset in friendships,
like when girls are mean to each other, gossip, steal a boy, lie,
etc. Girls are mean, just ask any girl in public school what they have to deal
with every day. I went through many rough situations with girls over the years. Jayden was not doing anything intentional to be mean or hurtful. You can be mad, hold a grudge and never have anything to do with the person, or
you can forgive and move on. We apologized and have tried to put things in the past and move on. I really thought things would change and could slowly go back to the way they were. Before, these two girls had not gone one day
without communication through instagrams, texting and facebook, They got together almost weekly and shared every experience together, especially when it came to rodeos. They had so much in common and can relate in their rodeo and homeschool, country girl lifestyle. That is a very rare combination. Now there was silence.
Jayden made many attempts to communicate and talk. She would smile when she saw
her and try to talk. Jake lost his best friend because of this too. It just doesnt make sense and it is sad. We
have prayed about it many times and I think about it often. I have given it to
the Lord and will let do my best to let it go.
