I felt like a busy soccer mom today. We had a bit much on our schedule for one day. First I dropped Jake off in Lehigh to go to
4-H rifle discipline with Grandpa W., then went to Luke’s game .Luke had his first soccer game in Gowrie. I really didn’t know what to
expect. I worried he would be too little, that he would not be able to get
close enough to the ball to kick it, and that he would get pushed around. He
did great. He got to play quite a bit and did really well, especially
considering all the kids are 7 and 8. He kicked the ball a lot, and seemed to
catch on to what he was supposed to do right away. It was a nice day, warm in
the morning and got up to 80 by afternoon. It was breezy, but the sunshine was
nice. Mark made a surprise appearance and got to see most of Luke’s game before
heading back into the field. After the
game we drove to Williams for Alivia’s birthday party. It was pretty crazy with lots of loud kids. Alivia turned 7 and this year had a horse party. Even
though it was super nice outside, most of the party was inside. Alice was back
from Alubquerque from her winter stay, so it was nice to see her. Later we got
to see Alivia’s new baby bottle lamb that she will take to the fair. They also
have a 1 week old filly. She is adorable. After the party it was back in the
car for a long drive back to Gowrie for team soccer photos. Today I really felt
like a soccer mom. I figured out I was driving for over 4 hours today.
