I had an automated Vacation Planner named tour guide Mike that gave me all kinds of hot tips for the parks. I had each and every day planned out to a tee. This morning it was raining a light rain and Mark saw there was tornado weather nearby. This was not on my plan and it was going to mess up the schedule. I was determined to make this plan work. The plan was to get to the park for the opening countdown and head to the main rides from there. Mark thought we could wait until the rain passed, but I was determined to go. Sooo, we put on our thin plastic ponchos and took the long walk to breakfast. It was a light rain and I thought if we were going to let the rain pass let’s do it while eating breakfast. We made it to the park by the countdown at 9AM. The rain was done and we headed straight to Fantasyland as we passed the crowds. Due to everyone else waiting out the rain, there were smaller crowds. Jayden and Mark went to Snow White first as it is said to be scary, while Jake and I hit Dumbo. This is a classic ride we just had to do. From there we hit ride after ride without a single line. It was so neat and fun. Soon it was closing in on noon and we headed to the Liberty restaurant, one Mark is a big fan of. There we were served family style with an abundance of food. Once again I was floored by the amount of food and how much we had to throw away. During our dinner, we were met with numerous characters, Chip, Dale, Pluto, and Minnie Mouse. They come to each and every table for pictures and autographs. Jayden had her autograph book and couldn't wait to use it. We were truly having a magical day. After lunch we decided to stay and not take an afternoon break, so made our away to more rides and attractions, following our planned schedule. The day was cool to start, but the sun was shinning warm and it was 70 in the afternoon. Jacob liked the Goofy barnstormer roller coaster. It was small and short, but plenty fast. Jayden liked the thunder mountain train roller coaster. I think the kids were in awe of everything and taking it all in. By 4:00 everyone was pretty well beat and we decided it was time to head back. Our hotel is the Pirates of the Caribbean beach hotel. It is so spread out that walking isn’t even an option. There are internal resort buses it is so big. For dining we have a 15 minute walk to the main center. We stayed in for the night and ate dinner at our hotel. It was after 10 by the time the kids could unwind from the day and stop kicking each other in bed.
