Biden on fuels

5/24/22 President Biden is coming under heavy fire for appearing to praise the painfully high gas prices that are hurting American families, calling it part of an "incredible transition" away from fossil fuels. The average national gasoline price in the U.S. is now a record high of $4.59 per gallon, up a painful 50%-plus from a year earlier, according to the American Automobile Association. Some states are seeing prices jump even higher. On Monday, the average price for a gallon of unleaded gasoline in California topped $6.06, higher than Alaska at $5.19 a gallon, and Hawaii at $5.33. During a visit to Japan, Biden spoke at a press conference saying, "When it comes to the gas prices, we're going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it's over, we'll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over." But Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) says that's not true. "One of the reasons gasoline costs so much right now is, the Biden administration has waged a war on fossil fuel," "This is not an accident. This is what Joe Biden promised in the campaign. This is what far-left members of the Democratic Caucus and Congress want. They want gas to cost $5, $6, $7 a gallon, because they want you out of your pickup truck or your minivan or your SUV, driving electric cars, or taking subways and trains to work," the Arkansas senator said. "This is their intended goal. This is not an accident. What we should be doing is encouraging investors and industry to create more oil and gas and fossil fuel energy in America," he continued. "These things take billions of dollars in investment and years to bring online, whether you're talking about oil and gas wells or pipelines or export facilities. And if the administration makes it clear that they are hostile to those investments, then it's not surprising that people are spending less money in the industry and therefore producing less oil and gas driving up your price at the pump."In one 2020 campaign appearance, Biden told a young supporter, "I want you to look at my eyes. I guarantee, I guarantee we're gonna end fossil fuel." And during a 2020 debate with Donald Trump, Biden pledged, "No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period."

5/12/22 According to Fox News The environmental Protection Agency EPA spent $7 million in funds from the President Biden $1.9 trillion of the COVID Relief package on a program to replace diesel school buses with electric onesin underserved communities. A cost of $300,000 per bus. All I have to say is this man is crazy!

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
