Class Reunion 20 years

Erin, Jessica, and myself planned our 20 year class reunion. We combined the class of 1993 and 1994. The morning started out with golf. Only a few showed up for it, Jess, Paula, Matt, Dan, and myself. We were a small group but we sure enjoyed hanging out and catching up. We played best ball and ran out of time by hole #5. We had a picnic to get too at noon. We had a family picnic planned at the Blairsburg park. Erin did all the work for it providing walking tacos and snacks. She has two girls that are under 4 and a baby on the way, plus just finished her masters. She is one super mama! Grandma dropped Jake and Luke off at the park after eating at McDonald's, so much for the picnic. They had fun playing with the other kids and running around. It is always fun to see all the little mini versions of the parents. We finished the afternoon with a school tour. That really brought back the memories! It was fun to reminisce the old days, see the hallways and the gym where many games and P.E. classes were held. Now there is an entire new section to the school. The added on so much and the school attendance is shrinking, high school is sharing with Webster City. It is kind of sad to see all the new school rooms and huge addition and yet see the school shrinking. 6/29 class reunion, golf, rain, park, school tour, Grid Iron, Saloon
For the evening we met at the Grid Iron restaurant in Webster City. We had around 12 classmates from 93 and 8 from 94. It was so fun to see everyone and meet the spouses. Mark came for the dinner and enjoyed visiting with some of the classmates, Dan, Matt, Tony, and Anthony. He left around 9 and I stayed until  the last of the group left. There was a group of 8 that headed to the Saloon until midnight. We were kind of disappointed in a few classmates in the area that really had no excuse not to be there. We decided we would give them a hard time. We didn't let is spoil our fun. Glad to see everyone.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
