Day two of the parenting seminar, I went alone. Mark
wanted to get working on his fence for the horses before the snow falls.
Afterwards, I went to my parents to get the kids and hang out until evening.
The kids and I went to the live play of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” I
had read the book to the kids at night before bed, so they knew the story and
the characters It started out with waiting patiently for a half hour for it to
start. Then part one was all singing, and part two was the play. The kids did
very well for having to sit so long. They really enjoyed it. I looked over at
Jake a few times to see him grinning. He really liked it. It is kind of a neat
and fun way to tell the Christmas story. At the intermission, someone kept saying "its snowing'. The kids ran to the window to see these giant fluffy snow flakes falling from the sky. I let them steop outside and the were so happy laughing and shouting "snow" and catching it on their tongues. It was a light snow until we were close to home and it was over.
