Picture ME at the age of THREE

Funny describes Luke's personality. He is so full of life and always being silly. He is such a happy kid, always smiling and giggling. He can make just about anyone smile. He is fun to take places, quiet and obedient. He is very social and can talk to anyone. Luke is very photogenic!! Not only is he cute as can be, he loves the camera, lets you pose him, and cooperates. . Luke cuddles and gives hugs and kisses. He loves to come running as fast as he can into you with big hugs and laughs. He likes to tell you he loves you whenever it pops in his mind.
He likes to play and farm with his big brother and just adores his big sister. She is very good to him and they are best buds. He likes his television shows and being outside. He loves to sit in my lap for a good story or two or three. Luke likes to be superman, from wearing pajamas to running around the house saying”Superman can fix it.” He likes to tear off al his clothes and run around in his "undie pants". He does not like being in time out. He does not like fighting with his brother, loud noises, scary cartoons, vegetables, thunder, car washes,
Luke is a bit naughty to his brother. The two boys like to tease one another, fight over toys, and just irritate each other. They both know how to push each others buttons. Very seldom can they sit next to one another in the car. He gets very sad when he is in trouble and has to sit in the naughty mat or throws a big fit. He usually wants to"Rocky chair me" when he is done crying.
Luke is a very social child, enjoys going to play groups without any fuss. He is the only child of mine that goes new places without crying.
Luke knows he is three, he holds up his three fingers. When he sees a three, he shouts "That's my how old". He also learned how to spell his name several months ago, thanks to Jayden teaching him along to the tune L-U-K-E that spells Luke. He likes to point out the letter L everywhere he goes too. He knows his colors, shapes, and most of the alphabet. He is super on a computer and can type out his name.
I am also loving the fact that he has been completely potty trained for 6 months and no night time accidents. He still takes a nap a few times a week, but not daily.
Luke has a sock monkey hat that he wears to town that gets a lot of comments. It is so darn cute. He also has sock monkey pajamas and a few sock monkeys. Luke being our little monkey, these things just fit.
Luke is at such a fun age and we love to hear him talk in his cute little voice chattering away. We laugh as he shows us his muscles, sucks on his toe, gives kisses, and giggles just by looking at him silly. I wish I could put these memories in a bottle and carry them with me.
Luke had his doctor check up and he is 36lbs. and 37 inches. He has outweighed Jacob by 5 lbs. at this age and about the same in height. Luke also had his eyes checked and his ears. I asked to sit in the sound proof dark room with Luke, just because I thought he might get scared. During the test, I noticed Luke look from speaker to speaker like he was supposed to, however I didn't think it was working, because I never heard a thing! I guess I should get my ears checked.

Volleyball

Jake  went with Karen after school and to the field. My mom, Luke and I went to Jayden’s  Volleyball game in Coon Rapids.  They played 4 games all losses. They were not having a good serving night and that really hurt them.  Still enjoy watching them learn.

Treasures

In the morning we took 3 of our 4 cats to the vet for shots. The 4 th cat decided to wander this morning missing his appointment. On our way out, we passed a rummage sale and stopped. We got some major treasures for next to nothing. The church ladies were so fascinated with Jacob's interest in old radios and televisions. They just adored him and marked the prices way down and gave him some for free. We loaded up on kids books, got some board games, and a few other treasures. Jake ended up with a mini  television , an old radio and Polaroid camera. After lunch the boys went straight to the field. My friend Carolyn and her daughter Tabby came to ride horses. What started out to be a chilly day 45, turned out nice and sunny. We had coats on, but it was a great day to ride. We rode through our hay patch and along the waterway near the highway. It was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Dayton Fun Show

It has been cold and windy for the past week, highs of 45. Today the sun was shinning and it got up to 60. There was one final horse show for the season at the Dayton arena. We took Jayden and Jacob while Luke went with Grammer and Po and was supposed to come later. It was a fun show geared for practice and the kids. Jake did really well on Winnie, he rode in walk and trot, barrels, and poles. He did some loping. Jayden did pleasure, milk can, barrels, poles, and a jumping event. Her horse Tex really jumps high for the jump event. Down in the arena, there was'nt any wind and the sun came out. It made for a nice day.
