Sleepy Baby

Yeah, Luke slept from 9:30 PM until 6AM. Luke has been a sweet baby and a great sleeper. He sleeps in the night pretty good, takes long naps during the day and can sleep through a lot. We can leave the house, drive to church, sit through the service, and drive home without him even waking. The bad part, 80% of the time he is a awake, he is crying and fussing. We do a lot of walking, rocking and holding.

Jayden

Jayden came home from school with a happy smile on her face and said to me,” I know what God made me to do, He made me to help people.” That was priceless. The other night when saying her prayers, she prayed “God, help me to be the person you want me to be.” She is so awesome and mature.

Snowman

The kids have enjoyed some warmer days in the snow. Jayden couldn't wait to build a snowman.

Bonding

Jacob is paying more attention to Luke and likes to make him smile. It is more fun when Luke isn’t always crying.

Easter 2008

Each Easter morning starts out with an egg hunt. The Easter bunny leaves certain colored eggs for each child and they have fun finding all their eggs. We then get dressed in our Easter clothes and go to church for rolls and juice then church. Next we head to Karen and Orrie’s for a big dinner. Luke was so cute in his baby blue outfit with little shoes. Jake was in blues to match also. Jayden had on her pretty flower dress that I just love. I am so lucky to have such beautiful healthy children. God has truly blessed me. One challenge I have with the kids is keeping the Easter Bunny from taking away Jesus and his dying on the cross. As children, the excitement is all in the bunny and the eggs. We have resurrection eggs that we do to help teach the kids the true meaning behind Easter that they enjoy. Being so close to Karen’s birthday, we celebrated her birthday also. Karen loves to play cards and the game sequence, so the grand kids gathered around for a game with her.

Ouch!

Here is the little guy at 2 months, he is our chunky monkey. Luke got his 2 month shots, 5 of them in all. Poor little fella! He weighed in at 13lbs. for his 2 month check.

Grreat Grandma

We visit Great Grandma Laugerman on occasion in her Assisted Living apartments. The Easter Bunny came to visit too.

Teddy Bear

I just love Luke's little teddy bear winter snowsuit. He looks so darn cute and cuddly!

Dump Truck

Just for fun, we put Luke in Jake’s dump truck for a picture. I remember my mom has a picture of me when I was a baby in Wade’s dump truck.

Easter Eggs

Firemen and Pancakes

Jake got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Wahlert and go to pancake days with Uncle Wade. The volunteer firefighters put it on, so I thought Jake should wear his fireman costume. He looked pretty darn cute and I heard he had fun

Semi

We went shopping for an outfit for Easter. My body is so out of wack and the clothes are so crazy, it was hard to find anything I liked. I ended up with a cute pant suit. We also brought home Mark’s new blue semi.

Making Models and Memories

Mark got a wooden model for Jake and the two of them spent time building and painting the model. Jake really enjoyed that time with his Dad and cherishes the model. This is something the two of them can enjoy together and hopefully they will do more.

Tumbling

Today was Jayden’s tum, bling meet in Waterloo. Mark and I dropped the boys off with my parents and took Jayden to her meet. It was a long day with a lot of waiting around. Jayden did a good job and got 6th place and a trophy. This competition tumbling is a good experience for Jayden, but not something I hope she continues in the years to come.

Girls Having Fun

Jayden had her friend Hannah over for the day. When Jayden plays, she really goes all out. The girls wanted Mark and I to come down the basement for a surprise. The girls were throwing me a party for my birthday. They had the basement set all up with tables, chairs, table cloth, decorations, music, and even a hostess table. We ended up taking our lunch down there to eat. After the girls were done, they picked up and cleaned everything. Jayden is quite a girl!!

Birthday

Today I turned 33. My parents sang to me over the phone for my birthday gift. Mark and I decided to go to the Cirque De Soliel for my birthday and got tickets for a later date. Since Mark had a bio-diesel meeting and would be gone the entire day, his parents took me out for lunch at the Café. I felt so special and enjoyed the meal, especially the chocolate cake. They also got me a pretty Tommy sweater. I have very thoughtful in laws.

Dentist

Today we took the kids to the new pediatric dentist. He checked Jacob’s new silver additions. He has some expensive teeth. Jayden ended up with 4 cavities and they fixed them right then. She did great and endured shots and all. Mark was with, so we went to Hickory Park for lunch. Luke was way off his routine and I was tired when we got home. Mark looked at me and said, “I don’t know how you are going to do this stuff by yourself.”

Aw Peepaw

There is nothing sweeter than a baby napping in his Grandpa’s arms. Grandpa A.K.A Peepaw, are you sleeping?

Reader

I took Jake & Luke to Jayden’s teacher conferences. Jayden is a smart girl, a teacher’s helper, and an excellent reader. She has read over 300 books and has the most AR( Accelerated Reading) points of the whole school. It is nice not having to worry about Jayden in school.
